In a unique collaboration between two software companies, Datag and Kingswood are launching the Kingswood Field Recording and Grass Management system into the UK, specifically designed to focus the farmer on maximising the return from grass whilst maintaining the full raft of NVZ requirements.

Some of the most successful and profitable farmers in the UK and Ireland are following pasture- based systems but any farm can benefit from maximising the potential of grown grass. This software enables the farm to be set up with both fields and paddock sub-divisions to provide detailed grass production figures from simple grass cover and input recordings. Integral to all data entered is a capture system for compiling statutory NVZ records.

Included in a wide range of grass management facilities are feed wedge simulation, giving an insight into the status of each paddock in real time and helping with cutting or grazing decisions; short and long term feed budgets which are critical in planning feed use and enabling external feed purchase at optimum times and annual production reports to help targeted use of inputs and maximise fertiliser efficiencies.

The Field Recording and Grass Management system costs £100 per year with a one-off cost of £75 if computerised links to farm maps are required.
